What leaves you spinning in indecision?
Is it because you don’t know the certainty of the outcome or are you comfortable living in indecision❔
Are you actually taking time to consider the outcomes or are you just guessing and letting your current circumstances predict the future?
You know you need to make a decision, which is why you’re considering different avenues. It’s why you reach out to people, try to create new habits, etc.
But then you get the opportunity to really grow and your brain tries to make a connection to this new thing with an old outcome.
Your brain tries to ‘protect’ you by using your past to predict a future outcome when it’s confronted with a new opportunity.
And then when it can’t predict the future of this new, novel opportunity, it naturally reverts to fear (unless you’ve trained yourself not to let this happen) in an attempt to protect you, though it’s actually harmful to you in the long run.
It’s not necessarily that the last time you took a chance it had a negative outcome – I actually highly doubt that.
It’s that it can’t determine the outcome at all.
And the truth is, none of us can. No person knows the future.
But the few people that make a decision and never look back are often the only ones to tell you that it was worth it.
They may not have known all the things, but what they did know is that if they didn’t take a chance, there was a 100% chance that things wouldn’t improve, they wouldn’t grow, they wouldn’t be successful, they wouldn’t achieve their dreams.
As long as you never stop taking chances, just make the damn decisions and move on, you cannot fail.
