There’s backward-to-forward thinking and then there is forward-to-forward thinking.

Sounds obvious but let me explain in case this is you.

Backward-to-forward thinking is committing to creating a future based on your past experiences, circumstances, outcomes, etc.

Forward-to-forward thinking is committing to a future based on a desired life; a vision that you want to create and live.

Essentially, you visualize an outcome and then your actions reinforce that desire. So your future desires create your future outcome.
Backward-to-forward thinking creates your future based on your past.
