Ask Better Questions, Get Better Results
Let’s get real about something: if you want to free up your time and live the life you dream of, it starts with asking better questions, so that you can get better answers. Forget time-blocking yourself into oblivion or attending every single Zoom call like your life depends on it. This is about mindset and clarity—and it’s a game-changer.
Boundaries You Don’t Have to Announce
Here’s a truth bomb: wealthy, successful people don’t declare their boundaries—they simply live them. Think about it. When was the last time you saw someone truly thriving and thought, “Wow, they must have a whole PowerPoint slide deck of boundaries they emailed to everyone in their life?”
Yeah, no.
I once worked at a bank where the owner didn’t need to explain his boundaries. You wouldn’t dare walk into his office and demand his time. He didn’t have to tell anyone “I’m busy”; people just knew. Why? Because he valued his time, communicated clearly, and respected himself. That’s the level we’re aiming for here.
Question to ask yourself: Do people waste my time because I don’t have standards around mine?
Stop Squeezing Every Drop from the Lemon
This year, I made my biggest investment in personal growth yet— over 6-figures in masterminds (and they have been worth it).
And here’s the kicker: I don’t even go to most of the Zoom calls. And I don’t feel bad about it. Why? Because I know what I need, and I focus on the parts that matter most to me.
I don’t need all the juice, I just need the essence.
The old me would have felt guilty, trying to squeeze every last drop out of the program. But here’s the thing: when you nickel-and-dime your investment like that, you miss the bigger picture. It’s not about how much you can do in a program. It’s about who you’re becoming while you’re in it.
Question \to ask yourself: look at a recent investment you’ve made, whether that’s a team member, a program, a service - what is the ONE thing you want to get as a return on investment?
High-Quality Questions = Faster Wins
Too many people waste time dancing around what they really want.
Stop that.
If you want to double your profits without doubling your hours, say so. Be blunt, be bold, and watch how much faster you get the answers you need.
I heard Alex Hormozi share an example of this recently. Someone asked him, “How can I make more money and work less?” That’s it. No fluff. No pretending they’re okay with grinding forever. Just a straight-up, high-quality question. And guess what? That kind of honesty saves you time. It gets you closer to the life you actually want.
Question to ask yourself: How can I make more money and work less?”
Boundaries Are Built, Not Broadcast
Let me tell you how this works in my business. My clients don’t need to know my boundaries because they’re baked into how I work. Want a meeting with me? Cool, but first, you fill out a form explaining exactly what we’re talking about. Don’t know what you want to discuss? Then we don’t meet. It’s not because I don’t care—I care deeply. But I care more about making every minute we spend together impactful.
Question to ask yourself: where am I wasting other peoples time?
Lead Better, Stop Babysitting
Here’s another spicy truth: if you’re constantly telling your team exactly what to do, you’re babysitting, not leading. Stop micromanaging and start telling your team what you want. For example, instead of saying, “Follow up with every client individually,” explain the why. Tell them, “I want a process that ensures we retain clients effectively.”
When you do this, you empower your team to think for themselves and solve problems creatively. That’s leadership—and it frees up your time.
Question to ask yourself: where is my team ‘doing’ instead of understanding why?
It’s Not About Doing More
Here’s the deal: being productive is great, but it’s not the ultimate goal. If you’re just checking boxes and doing more, you’re missing the point. What matters is what you’re doing with your time. Are you using it to build a better business, a better life, and a better you? Or are you stuck in a cycle of endless busy work?
Question to ask yourself: where am I consistently doing the same thing but my results aren’t getting better?
Take This Challenge: One High-Quality Question a Day
If you do nothing else for the next 30 days, do this: ask one high-quality question every day. Whether it’s in your business, your relationships, or your life, focus on questions that get to the heart of what you need to know. Watch how your clarity, leadership, and confidence skyrocket. People will respect you more. Your team will function better. And you’ll finally feel like the CEO of your own life.
Here’s the kicker: this works in sales too. The better your questions, the faster your prospects trust you—and trust is what closes deals.
Live Your Boundaries, Don’t Speak Them
When you focus on asking better questions, you don’t need to tell people about your boundaries. You just live them. You save time, gain respect, and create space for the life you want. And isn’t that the point?
Take this into your day, your week, your life. High-quality questions lead to high-quality answers, and those answers create the life you’ve been working so hard for. Let’s get to it.
